Yibu is a lovely ragdoll cat. The first time I saw her, she jumped and hugged me, which is exactly like a classic ragdoll cat. Ragdoll cats tend to be more interested in human than some breeds of cats (Katariina, 2016). As my friend Cate said, Yibu is 2 years old now, and she is still naughty.

“She is a part of my life.” Cate told me. She got the cat from her mom’s friend when she just graduated from uni. Then she started working as a beauty consultant. Yibu gives her lots of fun and enjoy.

“Why do you give her that name? Any special meaning?”

“Nothing, the moment I saw Yibu, I thought that should be the name for her.”

Cate is not an overseas student like me. She lives in here for more than 10 years. There are many Chinese overseas students having a cat, and the reason is the same: cats around them to accompany.

“I am definitely not that type. I have a boyfriend, I have a wonderful job. The only reason Yibu is here is just because I love her. She is my family.”
